A hoodie is the cornerstone of any apparel brand. However, not all blanks are created equal. A great hoodie must strike a perfect balance between warmth, durability, and style.
Before you place your bulk order, here are four critical factors you must evaluate:
1. Fabric Content: The Cotton vs. Polyester Blend
100% Cotton: Offers the most natural feel and superior breathability. It’s ideal for high-end printing like DTG or Discharge. However, it is prone to shrinking.
Cotton/Poly Blends (80/20 or 50/50): The industry standard. Polyester adds durability and wrinkle resistance while significantly reducing shrinkage. It also helps the interior fleece stay soft for longer.
Heathers: These textured colors usually contain a higher poly-count and often feel softer than solid colors.
2. Fabric Weight (GSM Matters)
The weight of the fabric dictates the "premium" feel of the garment.
